삼성전기 장덕현 사장이 지난 15일 알프레도 파스쿠알 산업부 장관을 만나 필리핀 생산법인의 사업 현황을 논의하고 부산 엑스포 유치 지지를 요청했다.
장 사장과 삼성전자 동남아총괄 조상호 부사장 등 삼성 경영진은 이날 면담에서 '2030 부산세계박람회(엑스포)' 유치 지지도 당부했다.
장 사장은 이날 필리핀 마닐라에서 파스쿠알 산업부 장관을 만나 삼성전기 필리핀 법인의 주요 활동과 혁신기술 사례 등을 설명했다. 또 필리핀 업체와의 교류 및 필리핀 대학과의 산학협력, 인더스트리 4.0 등에 대해 논의했다.
삼성은 민관합동 '2030부산 세계 박람회 유치위원회'의 일원으로 해외 네트워크를 적극 활용해 유치활동을 펼치고 있다.

Jang Deok-hyun, president of Samsung Electro-Mechanics, met with Alfredo Pascual, Minister of Industry, on the 15th to discuss the business status of the Philippine production corporation and ask for support to host the Busan Expo.
