Stray Kids’ Bang Chan Donates 300 Million Won for His Birthday... Continuing to Spread Positive Influence

“Hoping to contribute to dreaming of a better tomorrow together”

Break News Reporter Park Dong-je = Bang Chan, a member of the group Stray Kids, donated 300 million won to mark his birthday on the 3rd. He has now donated a cumulative total of 500 million won this year alone, continuing to spread positive influence.

According to his agency, JYP Entertainment, on the 3rd, Bang Chan donated a total of 300 million won—100 million won each to Hearcycle, the international relief and development NGO World Vision, and OSEAN (East Asia Sea Community).

The funds will be used for Hearcycle’s medical support and social reintegration programs for young adults with hearing loss; World Vision’s scholarship and growth support programs for children and adolescents from low-income and vulnerable backgrounds; and OSEAN’s coastal cleanup, marine debris collection, and river purification activities.

Bang Chan stated through JYP Entertainment, "It is meaningful to be able to share my heart—even in a small way—across various fields that need a helping hand, ranging from children's dreams to the environment we inhabit. I hope my sincerity reaches those in need and contributes to us all dreaming of a better tomorrow together."

Bang Chan has been sharing warmth throughout society through consistent charitable activities. Previously, last month, he donated a total of 200 million won—100 million won each to Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital and the Korean Committee for UNICEF—to support the establishment of a specialized rehabilitation center tailored to patients' ages and conditions, and to aid recovery efforts following the massive floods in Nepal.

Last year, on their birthday, they donated a total of 200 million won—100 million won to Samsung Medical Center to support medical expenses for pediatric patients and another 100 million won to the Korean Committee for UNICEF to aid children worldwide. For their 2024 birthday, they donated 100 million won to the Community Chest of Korea (Fruit of Love) to support individuals with developmental disabilities, earning induction into the "Honor Society," a group for major donors, and continuing to share their generosity.

Last year, they also joined fellow Stray Kids members in donating funds to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association, World Vision, and World Vision Hong Kong to assist with recovery efforts following wildfires in the Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions and a fire in Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, Bang Chan—known for holding the record for the highest number of copyrighted songs among K-pop idols (245 tracks, according to the Korea Music Copyright Association/KOMCA)—leads the group's in-house production team, 3RACHA, alongside members Changbin and Han, performing music they created themselves on stages across the globe.
