덕성여대(총장 김건희)는 지난 27일 오후 4시 대학본부건물 2층 제1회의실에서 주한 호주 대사관과 상호협력에 관한 협약식을 진행했다고 2일 밝혔다.
양 기관은 이날 협약식을 통해 ▲덕성여대·호주 대학 간 교류 확대 ▲덕성여대 학생 대상 호주대사관 인턴십 프로그램 기회 제공 ▲한국어교원양성 프로그램 참여 호주학생 대상 한국어 연수과정 실습 기회 제공 등을 약속했다.
덕성여대 김건희 총장은 "호주 대학과의 깊고 많은 교류를 통해 우리 학생들이 다양한 유학 기회를 가질 수 있도록 호주대사관에서 가교 역할을 해주실 것을 기대한다"면서 "양 기관의 오늘 만남을 계기로 우리 학생들의 호주와 호주 교육에 대해 더욱 높은 관심을 가질 수 있었으면 좋겠다"고 말했다.
한편 이날 협약식에는 덕성여대 김건희 총장·이원정 대외협력처장·우정민 대외협력부처장·정주희 교수가 참석했으며, 주한 호주 대사관 측에서는 캐서린 레이퍼(Catherine Raper) 주한호주대사·홍주희 호주대사관 교육실장 등이 참석했다.

Duksung Women's University (President Kim Gun-hee) announced on the 2nd that it held an agreement ceremony on mutual cooperation with the Australian Embassy in Korea at 4 p.m. on the 27th at the first meeting room on the 2nd floor of the university headquarters.
Through the signing ceremony, the two organizations promised to expand exchanges between ▲Duksung Women's University and Australian universities ▲provide opportunities for Australian students to participate in the Australian Embassy internship program ▲Korean language training program.
Kim Kun-hee, president of Duksung Women's University, said, "We expect our students to play a bridge at the Australian Embassy so that they can have various opportunities to study abroad through deep exchanges with Australian universities. I hope our students will be more interested in Australian education."
Meanwhile, Kim Gun-hee, President of Duksung Women's University, Lee Won-jung, Director of Foreign Cooperation, Woo Jung-min, and Professor Chung Joo-hee attended the signing ceremony, while Catherine Raper, the Australian Embassy in Korea, and Hong Joo-hee, the head of education.
